Niagara Image Gallery
Reece was a pleasure to work with from the beginning concept to the final video.
As an artist I am aware that it can be difficult to translate to others what you envision. Although Reece may not be an Oil painter or Sculptor, he is an artist through in through. He brought his own creativity to my studio and captured candid moments with ease. The music I chose was fitting, but the imagery he captured in the end needed no accompaniment. 5 Stars from me!
Tanya Jean Peterson
It is very difficult to capture the PULSE of an ARTIST at work and yet this was the assignment of the day for Reece and Ben of Instillment.
I had never met them before nor was I familiar with their work , but my daughter Tanya who is the Curator, Artist and Manager of our Niagara Image Gallery in Niagara on the Lake assured me that I would not be disappointed. I marvelled at their ability to quickly understand the VISION for the project. They were able to create a magical moving picture that followed the hands of an artist at work, and the workings of our Gallery!
At first viewing I recognized that these were not just videographers but rather cinematographers! Quickly I was drawn into the story as the ethereal music and skillful editing carried me from one magical scene to the next.
It was as if the lid to an artist's soul had been opened, allowing the viewer to peer inside and catch a glimpse of the divine workings that exist there.
My lifetime as an artist has been a solitary collection of hours, days and years in the studio. An "inspiration" is forever difficult to film because an artist at work is a supremely sublime and private time. No one can knock at the door of an artist's soul when they are at work! But somehow the great talents of Reece and Ben have "INSTILLED" in me that ALL things are POSSIBLE. They are truly gifted I found myself wanting to see MORE and MORE! I do believe it is just a matter of time before Hollywood comes calling! I will see MORE!
My heartfelt gratitude to Instillment for capturing so beautifully the Making of Art and giving everyone a glimpse into the artist's soul.
